I once did a complete rewrite/edit session in a 24-hour period (adding about 18k words and editing 50k of previously written stuff), and 10k on a rough draft in one afternoon. Haven't done another in a long while though.
Hi T.L., thank you for your comment. My final word count on EARTH VS THE STAR MUMMY was about 10,900. I'd aimed for 15k, but things wrapped up (pun intended) quicker than I expected. This was a fun challenge, and I'll most likely try this again after the holidays.
