It was this article, and some discussions we had, that inspired me to explore liminality and liminal spaces in film with a newsletter of my own. Good stuff!
It's definitely an experience and requires some adjustments in expectations, but once you're willing to meet it on its terms, you'll have a great time.
Great stuff. I did a little Substack post on analog horror and Skinamarink a few months back where I praised the short film "Heck" by the same director. It's basically a precursor to Skinamarink and was much more effective for me due to a number of slightly different approaches. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't yet (it's available on YouTube).

That's awesome to hear, Michael. Thank you.
Loved this. Reminded me I need to watch Skinamarink ASAP.

Thanks! I've had it on my "Watch Later" forever. Maybe it's time to check it out.
